Hi all
Have just picked up an EOS400D after really enjoying photography, moving from a compact to a bridge and finally now and SLR.
Just a quick Q though, and I'm sure its just me being stupid - the mode dial with auto/portrait/landscape etc etc shows the text 'landscape' on the LCD screen for both portrait and landscape modes, surely this isn't correct?

Sorry for the stupid question, feel a little embarassed! :o

Hmm, thats what I was expecting - I just thought there may be some way to 'reassign' the modes and maybe I'd somehow reassigned my portrait mode to landscape!

Mysteriously and for no apparent reason, its started working correctly.....!
Thanks for the replies! :)

you might want to update the firmware. i've not found any advantage after doing so, but Canon made the new version for a reason, so i did it anyway :)
