Epic Game Launcher Not Installing.

Was planning to give the free Ghost Recon Breakpoint demo a try, but I’m having no luck installing the Epic game launcher.

It hangs forever at the installing DirectX stage. Most of the advice on the internet is for W10 and I’m still running W7 because it still works (and I’m a lazy/cheap b******) the W7 advice I have seen featured fiddling around in the registry which I don’t like to do unless it’s really necessary.

Has anyone else seen similar issues?

Is windows 7 completely up to date and no outstanding updates?

have you tried right clicking the installer and “run as administrator”?

take it everything else installs ok? Could always try re downloading the installer in case this didn’t download properly
