Holy crap anyone else hear that in Bristol?! Four of us just text each other saying “wtf!” or similar - it was like playing a loud thunder sound in your ears. Never heard anything like it.

Surely one of you must have heard it too? :p
 
I'm working a few miles from Bristol we've had a fair bit of hail here thought I heard distant thunder around 7pm but wasn't sure.

Definitely didn't hear anything in the last few minutes though.
 
We had it in the North East Durham a week ago from the other storm and it's the loudest I have heard in a long time. It took out some of my devices. I could feel the static in the air as soon as it happened it was like I shot something out of my hands the charge I could feel in me was crazy.
 
Had it in Gloucestershire about 7. Really wierd atmosphere tbh. Was really still then blam. Everything went nuts for about 10 mins (knackering our plastic lean to door while it was at it ) and then just stopped.
 
Thought it was some one messing around with a camera flash then when the thunder came I thought it was an explosion and almost expected to feel a shock wave!
