Epic has filed a counterclaim in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, which states that SK "decided to misappropriate Epic's licensed technology" and that their lawsuit "lacks factual or legal merit."

"Indeed, the plain language of the Silicon Knights' Complaint makes clear that Silicon Knights wants to take Epic's Licensed Technology, pay nothing for it, and use it any way it pleases," Epic said.

In the counterclaim, Epic outlined that it's "setting forth claims for copyright infringement, breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets, and for the imposition of a constructive trust, results from Silicon Knights' wrongful conduct, which is continuing... Epic seeks injunctive relief, compensatory and punitive damages, the destruction of infringing goods, including infringing computer code, and attorney's fees and costs."

Thats Epic's stance on it. They basically claim SK is using the lawsuit as a means to steal what they have already taken from Epic.

Damn? Considering how the last Turok game sucked, I'm all for a change.

oh yeah no doubt, just a bit miffed that they seemed to have cut everything that made turok 2 so damn good. Just sounds like a generic shooter now

Man with special forces experience takes on a bad army with a few dinosaurs thrown in.

They actually said on Gamespots stage demo that they want to make it more like the original Turok game because they thought from 2 onwards it became a load **** and just went way over the top.

I never played the originals except for the mp only one (Rage Wars :o) so I don't know how close it is to Turok 1, but the footage looked ok to me.
It is on my Dark horse potential list atm.

The only thing that shocks me is they haven't mentioned the cerebral bore yet, they can't have a turk game without the cerebral bore, quite easily the best weapon in shooter history.
