Episode 2 voices missing? fix here

if you get no voices from alyx etc, go to settings, audio, change language (russian or something) restart HL2 (mine crashed upon restart)

then close steam and reopen it, started on 79% again, when it gets back in, change back to english, close steam, reopen

read on steam forums, this is the fix.

They really haven't.

Infact, mine didn't even have this problem until AFTER the updates

Any ideas how to fix EP1 surround sound ? Im trying to play it through again but I can only get 2 speaker mode working, no matter what I do, I set 7.1 ,then it just reverts back, x-fi, vista64bit, in game mode, 7.1 works for EVERYTHING else

thats just xfi and vista 64 not liking each other

xfi is best on xp at the moment

-there is a new xfi driver for vista mind, check the sound section of these forums

how strange the new creative driver has ruined my gigabyte sata, doesnt boot in vista now unless i disable that in the bios, great old drivers and a harddrive down or harddrive ok and old drivers,lol

right well, got EP1 workin on new sound drivers now, - doesnt work keeps defaulting back to 2 speaker mode, any more ideas?
