episode one gameplay help

yup i suck and i'm stuck. got to the first gunship which you have to shoot down but it keeps handing me my *** back to me on a plate. any tips? btw i found them easy to shoot down in hl2 -i'm just really stuck on this....

btw loving the lighting effects on this part of the game.... :cool:

That bit was a pain as I kept falling through the floor or getting it shot out from under me. Just keep trying, run along the beams if you can (bits that don't splinter). I simply jumped downstairs after I loosed a rocket to avoid getting mega-shot.

managed to do it by staying by the re-fill point. just kept topping up and firing....

I ran around like a nutta. Would refil, run back upstairs, jump down and repeat that several times.

I did that too, but I purposefully (honest!) blew big chunks out of the roof so I could see the thing I was supposed to be shooting, otherwise it just made menacing gunship noises from behind planks of wood.
