EPoX 8KDA3+ heatsink issue.

Hey guys.

I'm replacing my current motherboard with the EPoX 8KDA3+.

However, when I've come to seat the heatsink, there's some capacitors in the way underneath the board so the backplate won't go on without covering the metal bits of the capacitors.

The heatsink is a Zalman CNPS7000B-AlCu. I've checked the Zalman site, and the heatsink is compatible with the motherboard.

The backplate from the Zalman is the one that covers the mental bits of the capacitors underneath the board.

The backplate from the EPoX board won't hold the screws in place (the 'nipple' is too short). Also, when using the backplate from the EPoX board, using the screws provided, the heatsink seats too high (thus not covering the CPU).

The backplate from the Zalman *will* screw on, but I'm scared of screwing it on as I might damage the capacitors (the backplate will stick out on the side of the capacitors, so it isn't exactly on correctly anyway).

Any advice on what to do?

Thanks.

(I can post a photo of the issue if need be).
