EPP is 'Enhanced performance profile'. Which basicly means that if your motherboard supoprts it then it will read this info and setup your ram at its advertised speed instead of the SPD reading. This is just a time saving feature really as you can still manually set the settings if your ram dosn't have EPP. I certainly wouldn't pay any extra for EPP ram.
