Hello there dear overclockers!
I'm once again in a sour spot that i've rode myself into.
Yesterday my Epson EH TW-9400 Projector arrived and apparently this model does not feature an audio outlet whatsoever...
Now this does not work well with my (******) ChromeCast Ultra..
Since i only have a simple 2.1 (teufel) audio system, which i also cannot use at a high volume due to the neighbours, i dont really fancy a highend AV-Receiver for the setup.
I see a few options to get my setup working for 4k and Audio:
1. Option: HDMI-Audio Extractor.
There are devices where i could connect my chromecast on one side, and on the other side i'd have two outlets (1x Hdmi-Video/ 1x Aux (or cinch)). This way i could split the Audio to my SoundSystem.
(optional: maybe to make the setup a bit more stupid, one could connect a bluetooth audio-transmitter to the audio-outlet to possibly stream it to other bluetooth-capable devices for normal audio-streaming over the chromecast)
2. Option: (smart) Blu-Ray with 4k streaming capabilities
There are Blu-Ray players which feature smart-Apps like Netflix and Youtube. Does anyone have experience with them and could confirm that they are capable of streaming 4k 60fps netflix/youtube material?
3. Option: XIAOMI MI Box S
just stumbled upon this device which seems to feature a "better" chromecast with also 3.5mm Jack + Bluetooth.
Would this be an option aswell?
4. Option: ????
Or any other possibly cheap or simple solution to somehow set-up a beamer with only inputs and no audio outputs to get the sound working?
The Projector itself is also about 5m away from the projector-Screen, where also the sound-system is located. Connecting a 3.5mm audi-cable (or cinch) would not be a problem over that distance though.
Anyone got some helpful hints or maybe tips from experience on this one, would be majorly appreciated!
Have a lovely day lads,
