epson l800

hi I have a Epson l800 and the printer was fine till the other day. it wont print and it says the waste ink pad is full and counter needs resetting.
Is there a way to reset the counter without having to download a 3rd party program.

I have similar problems with my Epson L3116 and used to reset it successfully using third party program. You might want to check WIC Resetter or test this tool https://www.printresetter.com/epson-l800-resetter-adjustment-program/ The reset tool for my L3116 from there worked like charm. Not sure about the reset tools for other printer models.
