epson printer on mac book air, help

Thanks for looking,

I have a epson stylus sx510w all in one printer connected to my BT hub it is my default printer on my pc and my windows laptop. There is no problem using it on these 2 devices but my mac book air is not picking it up

I googled the problem and the only thing i have came up with in results was installing the drivers for it off the epson website here . I installed the driver(6.62) and it installed the epson printer utility on my mac book air. Neither this utility or the mac can pick up the printer.

Can anyone help with this?

I would hate to find out i have to buy the superdrive or usb/LAN adapter to make this work as everywhere is closed lol

Hmm, I've got a 515w plugged into the LAN and my iMac and MBP pick it up just fine - just in the settings > print n scan > then click the + and it's in the list. To be fair though I'm highly suspicious of the BTHub as it does freaky things with filtering multicast and the like (my in-laws media extender stopped working after the upgrade to infinity which gave the latest hub)
