Hi,

My folks have a new Win 8 x64 laptop and an old Epson D92 printer.

The driver for it works fine, but the Epson Status Monitor (for ink levels, head cleaning, alignment etc.) does not.

I found a third party piece of software but the D92 is unsupported.

Any ideas how to align and clean print heads on Windows 8?

The latest driver advertised for W8 on the Epson website doesn't work, at install it says it doesn't work on this OS.

The driver that works is built in to W8, but only let's you print not maintain or monitor.

Have you tried using the Vista driver? For my particular Epson printer I am able to use either it (x64) for my install of Windows 8.

Yeah, the built in driver is just a class driver that gets you basic functionality. As above, try the Windows 7 or Vista driver.
