Epson printer wont print.

I have an Epson Stylus C86 printer. Its USB on Win XP Home. Quite suddenly it wont print anything. Ive checked the ink levels, done the head/nozzle cleaning things, uninstalled and reinstalled it with a new driver and even plugged it into a different usb port.

It responds to commands such as "print a test page" but simply doesnt print anything. All ideas welcome before it takes a trip to recycling!

If down to chucking it out might be worth downloading this prog

and have a play with the settings of it, see if that can get it going again :)
 
I take it you mean it's just not putting ink on the page? Or do you mean it's not even attempting to print?

did it stop working after you installed the compatables? or has it worked since then?
as i have known someone to not get any print outs and the reason was that he had not taken off the plastic/paper tag things thats on each cartridge befor he put them in the printer :)
