I've had my Epson R800 printer for just over a year. I use it about 3 times a week. But the other day I was running the automatic head cleaning system through the printers software and half way through the cleaning procedure I clicked 'Cancel', as it seemed to be making things worse, not better.
If anybody has an Epson R800 then you should know how the automatic head cleaning system works. It prints out blocks of colours after every cleaning attempt, until you can see all the blocks.
Anyway, now, for some reason my printer won't work. The 2 lights in the middle (the ink and the trash can buttons) just started flashing. I've tried switching it off and back on again but nothing happens.
You know the sound when you first turn on a printer? Like the motor is starting up, but mine doesn't, you can hear it try to start but nothing happens.
My printer software tells me that parts inside my printer are at the end of their service.
My printer never came with a manual so I don't know what to do. I've tried searching for an answer.
Anyone have any ideas? Do I need a new printer?
