Equivalent? ATI - nVidia

If i got a:
ATI Radeon X1600 graphics with 128MB GDDR3 memory

What card would this be mainly like from nVidia, a 6600GT?

Long time since i have used pc hardware, just migrated to MAC

If its a pro, then the 6600 GT is better, if its an XT then its better than the 6600 GT.

Good review here , conclusion has it as an x1600 XL, but thats a mistake as its an XT, so go for an XT as the pro is a terrible card.

Its a Mobility x1600, it doesn't say that in the specs though.

Slower than the pro i think being a mobility.

Yeah its slower than the 6600 GT, even the x1600pro is slower than a 6600 GT, and the x1600 in the imac is slower than a pro as its a mobility as said, im sure i read somewhere the clocks were less than on the pro.

so, gaming quality will it be any good or not?

128mb, if i upgraded it to 256mb, would there be a great increase.

I doubt it, x1600 pro's are atrocious, the imac's will be even worse as its slower.

CPU is good.. But graphics are poor, won't be good for gaming .
