What is the new equivalent to a Ati 5870 please ?

Not up on the new gtx cards and would like an update.

Or do you think it is worth a look at some used 5870s

I would say the 6950 is 5870 performance, maybe pulling slightly ahead as well.

Depends on how much the used 5870s are selling for. If they're selling for about £170~ then I would buy a 5870, otherwise go for the 6950.
