Equivalent GPU to the Ryzen 5 2400 G?

I'm about to pull the trigger on upgrading my current PC and need some advice on the CPU.

I am seriously considering a Ryzen 5 2400 G processor but slightly put off by the mobo bios issues that have been reported with this processor and want an idea of what the equivalent CPU plus Graphics card would be when compared to the all-in-one 2400 G?

I was thinking of maybe a Ryzen 5 1600 or even a 2600 cpu plus card. At the moment I'm not into gaming but hope to in the future so would still need to add a card if I didn't go for the 2400 G.

I may be wrong but I wouldn't have thought the on board graphics of the 2400 G would be any better than maybe GTX 1030????

Anybody using one and if so what's the performance like?

It's roughly on par with a GT 1030. A little slower in some games, a little faster in others. You'll need some decent RAM to get the most out of it though (capable of 3200MHz or more), but that benefits any Ryzen chip.

Ahhhh cheers! Just as I suspected!
The 2400G would probably more than meet my needs right now and is definitely a cheap option even with some 3200MHz ram for entry level gaming.
I could always upgrade the graphics later with a GT 1050 if and when needed.

My other option...maybe a Ryzen 5 1600 together with a GT 1030 or better still a GT 1050. With the GT 1050, that should give the build longer mileage and hopefully allow reasonable game play if I get into it.

I've recently purchased a 2400G and I'm relatively happy with it, the performance is a little lower than expected but that's partly to do with the RAM struggling to hit 3200mhz 100% stable on my MSIB350 Mortar motherboard.

The other problem I had was with the drivers but since they have changed to updating them with the main GPU lines that has been resolved.

It sounds like the 2400 G would suit me. Does the stock cooler that comes with the Ryzen chip keep it cool?

When you mention that you had trouble with the drivers, could you possibly explain a little further so that if I get the chip I'll have a better idea of how to deal with any known issues with mobo?

I'm also on a 2400g. With an ssd it is a very fast capable desktop for everyday use. It is very entry level on the gaming side, I just couldnt justify the cost of a GPU to myself until the prices normalise.
The stock heatsink is absolutely fine for general use and light overclocking. I will be upgrading mine in a couple of months but only because I want to see if that lets me push the gpu further before I upgrade.

I have just built a 2200g gaming pc for my son. I had to go through the boot kit rma with AMD to get a cpu that the mobo would boot with so I could update the bios but I expected this as I bought the ab350m gaming 3 motherboard which came out wth the 1200\1600\1800 etc

The 2200g igpu can run the following games

All the Lego games
All the roblox games
Garden ware 1 and 2
Minecraft and mods

If you like I can run any tests with the igpu but bare in mind it's the 2200g not the 2400g.
