Equivalent of 8800GTX

My 8800gtx has gone to the GPU graveyard in the sky and I was wondering what the equivalent is at the moment? Not looking for top of the range, just similar performance.

I'd look out for a cheap 4870, they are knocking around from £145 when the other two will cost around £115. If you game at higher resolutions (1080P or 1920x1200 or more) then you should look at the 1GB 4870 on here at £165 or the Zotac GTX 260 at £169.99.

All listed should be at least a little bit better than your old one though. If you are after a cheap job then look for old 8800GT or 8800GTS stock, there is a 8800GTS for £64 on a competitors site, or an 8800GT for similar. May also be worth waiting for the Radeon 4750 as it will probably offer similar performance, cost less, use less power, run cooler and overclock better. Have to wait till the beginning of April to find out though.

I'm gaming at 1920x1200 but only really playing LOTRO at the mo.

260 or 4870 are looking best bet.

The price of 260's are dropping substantially at the moment.

A quick look around can bag you a 260 for £135 now.
