ER6 owners

I ride a 2009 ER-6f. Modified it a bit with a lowered spring, gel seat, new screen, tail tidy, radiator cover, pazzo stubby levers, scorpion exhaust, heated grips, seat cowl etc :)

She's my first 'big bike' and I'm loving her so far.

I posted a few pics of her in the 'essential' thread. Though they were taken before the tail tidy and new screen.

i really like the look of them, just worried about build quality. its this or a fazer.

I own a 2009 ER-6F also, just got it a few weeks back it's my first ever bike.

I'm still in the 'break-in' period so haven't pushed it overly hard yet but it seems fast enough for me when I have opened the throttle up. My only issue with it is how bad the mirrors are, although I don't have much to compare them against I have read that they are worse than a lot of other bikes.

With regards to mods, none yet but will probably be looking for a tail tidy in the near future and maybe a seat cowl.

I'll hopefully be out and take some pictures of it tomorrow for putting in the scenery thread!

I know what you mean about the mirrors.

I can see ok for the most part as there aren't many roads around here that are dead straight, so you can normally see behind you in one or other of the mirrors. Failing that, a little elbow jiggle and you're good :D

I'm not that broad in the shoulder though. I imagine if you were of a large build it might be more of a problem.

There are mirror extensions available if it really is a problem :)

Edit: Link to my old pics.

I'm not that broad, so yeah I just do the elbow jiggle. It's not a big enough problem to put you off the bike, just a slight annoyance. I might look into the extensions, see if they actually help much.

Anyone done any two-up riding on theirs? I've got a cbr600f, and it's not the best with a pillion - so I fancy something a bit more sit-up. This is one option, but I worry whether it'll pull well two-up

Another option is a Shiver 750, but they're a bit bigger money.
