Era Vulgaris

Great album. Hated it at first, but after a load of listens I love it. It's one of the those albums that grows very slowly, and then just seems right. It's got some outstanding tracks on it.
 
Not keen on it myself, I'm a big Kyuss and QOTSA fan but this is the worst thing Homme has ever done I reckon, I like Sick Sick Sick but the majority of the album is a bit off the mark.

Maybe a few more listens will do the trick.

Aye, really wasn't a step in the right direction for them I don't think.

I always preferred Kyuss to QOTSA. Queens, R and Songs FTD were good albums, but they seem to be just going through the motions now which is a shame.
 
Yeah Kyuss are better, i think that Songs for the Deaf is their most consistent album, the other's have a fair load of **** on them, more so than any normal albums quota ;)
 
SFTD I hate except Grohl's drumming. The new album has something fresh that qotsa have not had in a little while. The drumming is wicked. I love it!
 
Tried listening to it twice, just can't get into it. I shall have to persevere though!

I find that with quite a few albums though, had the same with In Your Honor by the Foo Fighters (which I now absolutely adore) and Black Holes and Revelations by Muse, which I now also absolutely adore! :)
 
It doesn't do anything for me :(

Although I did initially say that about Kings Of Leon's new album and now I think it's awesome.
