Erasing a Hard drive - Tool needed

My boss just asked me to try and find a tool, that will completely and utterly delete everything on a hard drive.(Formatting wont do)
Hes doing some business data security assessment, so the tool should be decent.

Any suggestions?

killdisk do a free version but if you want it encypted then you have to pay
