I use Calibre to organise my eBooks on the computer, and it's excellent.

On the tablet (Nexus 7) I use Kindle - and it's noticeably less useful. As an example, I have a couple of sets of books on the tablet (Bond and Dscworld). In Calibre, I can order the series correctly. On the tablet, the best I can do is by author, so I constantly have to check on the internet what the next book is.

So is there a better eReader solution?

Also, is it possible to sync books added by Calibre? Or does that only work for books bought from the kindle store?

If it is, would enable me to do a bit of reading on my phone at work during [strike]poos[/strike]breaks. ;)

There is a function in Calibre to make a catalogue of all the books in the Calibre library, which itself is treated as an e-book you can upload to the reader. That way you can refer to that on your e-book to see things like series number etc. I think it will also display books in whatever order you want when you create the catalogue, including series order. Can't sync with dodgy books I don't think.
