Hi

I just got hold of a Ericsson T28se for the retro appeal (reminds me of when I was young) and I can't get it to work with my Orange sim card... the phone says welcome to orange base then ont the standby screen it says sos calls only? on the network selection menu it only gives an option for o2 and vodafone. The phone works fine on my o2 simcard and it should work on orange as its both GSM 900 and 1800, right? I need it to work on orange... please help.

Thanks

Tis locked.

T28 - pah. Should have got a T39 - has modern touches like Bluetooth and GPRS. I'd still be using mine had I not dropped it!

It seems that I was supplied the gsm 900 only verison of the phone; as confirmed by the local unlocking shop

lol... The T28 > T39, the T39 is was pants for its time, while the T28 was the "IT Phone" of its time. but its personal taste...

I don't understand.

The T39 is the last in the line of the "classic" Ericsson flips with the most functionality. Same basic design (size, weight) as the T28 with tri-band, GPRS, bluetooth, infrared, WAP and proper software chucked in and double the standby time (a good 10-11 days for me). Hardly pants.

I used mine of for a good three years until I dropped it. :(

sorry peeps I didn't mean to upset anyone. The T39 is a good phone but I never has to use one for long (as a gave it to my brother and knowing him he still has it in a draw at home) its like the Knight Rider thing, some people think the KITT 2000 is better than the KITT 3000. I was so upset when my original T28 broke and never liked the t39 dont know why or what phone I was using instead.
