I used to think a modern PSU would be made to a certain size....I was wrong.

In my quest to play with new toys I have got my grubby little mits on a Tagan 580W PSU (4th down on OcUK's site, 1st Non-Modular). I have literally opened up the side of my V1000 to see a gap smaller than the PSU....

Clearly this ain't going to fit. I know you can drill out rivets or something but I am rather less than keen to do this. Failing that any other good ideas?

I do like the case but lately everything I do with it just seems to cause more problems :/

Helps! :)

No money to go to the + so I guess a PSU with it's arse stuck out shall suffice for now :)

I have a project I was working on that got cancelled that I suppose I could resume - an old and somewhat scruffy PC70 Could have some fun tarting that up :D

(as for the thread title - np's - you seem to live in this forum now :D)

It had the Akasa Paxmat stuff stuck on the inside on most surfaces - 2 layers thick so removing it is hard work and leaves an icky residue behind which I have had little luck removing.

Beyond that there are mainly scuffs and scratch marks on it that just make it look a bit tatty. Also the front panel doesn't snap into place anymore - at least 1 of the plastic lugs is missing and another is possibly broken.

I think I'm gonna have to have a go at fixing it up now :) Was going to try and throw some watercooling in it last year but never got around to it :o

I think this calls for pics! :D

I'll give that a try if I can avoid bending the panels too much pulling the last layer off :(

Sounds like an excuse to fill the bath tbh :D

I'm tired now so I'll get fresh piccies in the morning (and begin stripping down the paxnotyourmate (love that btw :p) at the same time) :)

I'll start it up in a new thread however as this has run it's course really :p
