Erm weird question... about potatoes

Before I start and ask the question I would like to point out I can and do make cakes, cooks steaks, pies etc (home made) however..





















How do you boil potatoes and when are they done do they float or is there a time limit or as they are boiling you just wait until the waters gone?

Wanted to make mash but cant work out potatoes!

I take it you mash them up after boiling then add milk and butter?

Would utterly butterly be okay?

If your knife goes in effortlessly, and the potato falls off effortlessly, they're done.

Over boil them and they'll fall apart.

Would that not make mashing them easier?

Well they were nice but I over estimated how much I would want

Do i chill/leave out/freeze and reheat or is that a no go

Also I've nearly run out of tom. sauce

you having them with a muller corner?

Frezzing them is fine although they will loose some colour but would be fine for shepherds pie or similar or you could just cover it with tom sauce!

Its already got it in it, prehaps I should have added that, still okay in the fridge?

No. It will become toxic and if you eat it your eyes will explode.
