Hi all,

A bit of background info...ive recently updated to windows vista and on my previous install on winxp pro i had my itunes set up the way i wanted it to.

Anyways ive re-istallend Itunes but now cant synch my ipod to the itunes...ie wanted to get all music that i had on my ipod touch back into itunes but didnt know how to etc.

Anyways decided to do a restore as i couldnt even delete my music...so i backed up the settings on the ipod through itunes but bloody itunes crashed:rolleyes:. So had to shut it down and re-start....anyways its been restored but its gone back to the way it was when i first got it which is good but not so good as i downloaded all the extra stuff that apple did a few months back...paid £12 for the weather and google maps stuff.

Now its gone and i dont know how to get it back...like hell im going to pay another £12 to get all that stuff back.

So does anyone know how i can get that stuff back onto my ipod touch??

If you've paid for the extras (which come free on new ipods) then surely its tied to your account so iTunes should reapply them? if not then you could jailbreak it to get the apps.

Well i had a look through my itunes and the download is tied to my account but i cant see any option to re-download or install them on my ipod touch.

Might have to give Apple a ring tommorrow if no one here can help me out....you guys call yourselves apple experts??...pfft:p

So unbelievably no one still has any idea as to how i get these paid for apps back onto my ipod touch????.

log a support request with apple and they will let to download them again; others have been in the same position as you and they have apparently been helpful.

Secondly, you cannot by default copy music from an iPod Touch / iPhone to your computer, as this is one of Apple's gestures towards preventing music piracy
