Hi anyone got a fix for Error 0xc0000001

Used my PC last night was perfectly working, Turned it on just now and it will not start up says Error 0xc0000001

Any information will help thanks

Sounds like it is a job for a Windows recovery drive... I've only ever seen that when an essential driver or core windows file had gotten corrupted

Do you have a link got me so I could follow a guide or something ?

Anything I can change / delete / uninstall to prevent this from happening again?

Very ODD ! Restarted it and it’s now took me to my user log on so what could the problem be?
Very good question, I'd recommend you back up anything valuable just in case. It could just be a random bit flip as a one off.

Have you disconnected or reconnected anything?

Repair procedure is fairly self explanatory but theres inevitably a guide for it too. For now I'd focus on getting that reassurance if a backup sorted amd hope it doesn't come back.

There’s nothing of value on it.. it in taking a fair while to log on after I’ve entered the password the circular things just spinning on the user welcome screen

I guess all you can do is wait and see whilst the wheel spins

You can look in event viewer when it finishes for hints of why it crashed and what it's been up to.

Open the command prompt and run the command line sfc /scannow to see if anything in windows has been corrupted.

I can’t get on the PC it’s just dead slow all of a sudden nothing loads after I enter password to log on

Sounds like recovery drive time (hopefully you can get one).

To use it you would need to use boot manager to:
- Select boot from USB/DVD as applicable
- Select "Recover from a drive"
- Choose how aggressively you want it to remove files
- Click recover and find something else to do for a while (especially if you selected "fully clean the drive")
