Hey. i just got a new computer like a hour ago :D
i want to let my old one connect to the internet through me
(Im using a 3G Wireless Modem).
and also i want to get all my files of the old CPU.

I get Error 777 on the old CPU when trying to connect.anyone got any help for me?

No , i auctually just did a str8 connection From Port too port.
i was just saying what i had to play with for suggestions.
getting Error 777 from Client trying to connect to the host after dile.

Ok, i cant find one of my small wires now. but i have found a wire with two large phone connector ends. and ive connected them from PC to PC. My Network connections say that Local Area network is connected. and the sent packets on both computers are ticking up. But not recived. Is this working?!? , i tried to goto \\COMPNAME, But it diddent work.

When i click Repear connection, Client Gets -"Error Clearing DNS cache"
And Host gets "Error Clearing ARP cache" ( cmd promp tells me its empty anyway!)

Ive just bought a crossover cabel. and connected direct with that.
When i click Repair on the connection i get a error saying Unable to clear ARP cache.

i go into cmd prompt and do arp -d to clear cache, and it says its empty.
i still get the same error. << This is on the main computer

the other computer gets clearing DNS cache problem.

Heres some cmd prompt screenies, may help people help me.
this is driving me crazy lol. When i try to ping either computer it sends 32 Bites , then it fails.

How about starting with the basics..

Connecting the two PC's together

1. Unplug the 3G modem (Just to stop that having any effect)
2. If you going to use a cross over cable.. make sure you manually set the IP Addresses on each PC.
If you set one to 192.168.0.1, then set the other to 192.168.0.2
3. Now try to explore the other PC using \\ip-address and see how it goes?

Both Machines = Windows can not find this adress.

The odd thing is if i ping the main computers name (DODGE) from the seccond computer it finds its IP , then fails the ping. Where as if i try to ping the seccond computer from main (YUMMY) it wont find it...
