Need help guys, installed a new 680 and i get the random bsod and blank screen and need to do a hard shutdown and startup to restart.

Using latest drivers and fresh win 7 install...
 
IIRC thats a TDR type issue, run windows update (if you haven't done it since doing the fresh install as theres some updates related to fixing that) and then try reinstalling the nVidia drivers with the clean install option ticked.
 
i've done the fresh install, (install with sp1 (OCT2012)) and installed the drivers. then updated. so ur suggesting, do the fresh drivers install now?

ive read somewhere its a iirc error... but how do i know for sure?
