error installing Steam.... with new game...please help!

just purchases Half life 2 the orange box, and tried to install, i get this error msg when i try to create a new account.

dunno why i can't just install the damn game!

Are you signed in as Admin ?

Always best to go to the Steam/Valve forums for answers to these ones mate

yeah i have full admin rights as i'm the only user, i will have a look on those forums, gutted as just brought the game, and kind of thought it would just install

If you doubt the download then use the file verification prog they have over at Steam/Valve.
