I'm trying to install vista onto my computer, I'm currently up to the "where do you want to install windows?" page, I have formatted the HDD I want Vista on (160Gb jobby) but the installer just keeps saying "Windows is unable to find a sytem volume that meets its criteria for installation.

Help please, thanks.

The drive information for the drive I want to load Vista onto reads;

" Disk 1 Partition 1 Free space = 149.0Gb Type = Primary"

Have removed the SATA cable from the motherboard end of the drive I don't want to install onto, and made sure it is the top of the boot list (kinda has to be when it's the only drive).

Will try this now and post back, thanks.

Gigabyte P35 DS3L

The drives are both detected fine, and can format/partition them etc, so not sure if that changes anything?

:D
Thats one problem with vista that it will only install to the first bootable non read only drive set in the bios minus the floppy & CD/DVD.
