Hi,

I am trying to install a RAID 0 with 3 hard drives, all the same, 80GB Western Digital.

I am using the Nvidia RAID controller over the Silicon Image one because I want to install XP Pro onto the RAID 0 as I set it all up and also I hear that you can't overclock if you are using the Silicon Image RAID controller.

I have 4 hard drives plugged into the 4 Sata plugs (black). I am enabling the raid on 3 of them, ports 2, 3, 4. And port number one is going to be a seperate one.

I have configured a RAID 0 setup on 2, 3, 4, to create one big disk as such.
This is reconised when coming to install xp as two drives (the single Sata and the RAID).

I press F6 early on to use the RAID drivers from a disc. I install and use both the Nvidia RAID class driver and the Nvidia NForce storage controller drivers.

I then tell XP to install on the RAID and it formats it, installs the nessarry files then restarts.

From here it goes wrong. When it then tries to boot from the hard drive to install XP. It says that there is an 'Error Loading Operating System'.

The Xp Cd works, I know that.

Any ideas? I've tried many times, but to no avail.
