I need to access a IDE hard drive which has got stuff on. But when ever i plug it in to the m/board & try n boot my PC up i keep getting this message "Bank interleave requested but not enabled" & im unable to load the PC up.

Can some one point me in the right direction of what i need to be doing to be able to access this hard drive please? Im guessing it might be a bios option or something like that but im a noob in the bios & dont want to go around messing with things that i know nothing about

Here are my PC specs if you need them.

Phenom II 720
Biostar TA790GX 128
80GB IDE Hard drive running windows xp
2 x 160GB sata drives
1GB DDR2.

Cheers

"Bank interleave requested but not enabled" would suggest a RAM issue. I dont think it has anything to do with the IDE harddisk.

Cheers for the reply,

SO how come i would get that message when i try & connect the 250GB IDE drive to the PC. With out it connected to the PC it all works fine

Dunno :) , but try removing a stick of ram.

If you cant get it to work atall, maybe buy a cheap USB >IDE caddy, they only cost a few quid, then you can plug in the disk when your system is up and running, bypassing the weird error.
