Hi,

Can anyone out there help me with an intermittent problem I'm getting on my old media centre PC.

When I turn it on, I get this screen;

After several reboots (sometimes 1, sometimes loads!) it will eventually start and run quite happily.

I assume it an issue with the BIOS, but why would it fix itself after multiple reboots?

Thanks

ok your BIOS is not happy and is therefore running a checksum on itself.. Could be some corruption, update, if it happens again, replace bios chip

It can recover the BIOS by flash the older version and then once it sort it out then download new version and then flash BIOS then would recover in few mins Ive done with old Socket 939 years ago as I was installed wrong type of BIOS version that went astray so I recovered by early correct version then flash new correct one - it bounce back also check into BIOS set up screen...

it can recover easily
