Error when reinstalling Windows

Hi,

I seem to be having trouble reinstalling Windows. Installation is about to start when all of a sudden i get a 'cyclic redundancy check error'. At first I figured that my Windows CD had simply warn out so i borrowed a friends, but i'm still getting the same error.

Timer of the installation reads 39mins then the error appears.

Windows error - 80060100.

I've tried cleaning both CD's using a scratch remover machine but to no avail.

Do you think that i've simply used another bad disc or is it something else?

That's the thing, I bought a brand new DVD Writer just in case it was a hardware problem. I'll try and investigate further.
