This seems to be the best place to put this but is it needs relocated it's fine by me lol

To cut a long story short I've been waiting for the Mayweather/Pacman fight for years now (haven't we all lol) and have been looking forward to watching it - problem 1 - no sky subscription

Borrowed a friends youview box today and connected it up in my house, aerial where it's meant to and an Ethernet cable direct into my bt home hub 5 hey dont shoot me)

Went to channel 528 where the fight is going to be shown, clicked to purchase and all seemed to go well, the channel is running some may vs pac preview so I tried to watch it and ever time I do I encounter "IPC-6023" error - just a blank screen with this error message

Lots of googling and I have come up empty - seems it could be some igmp or multicast issue, been hours and im getting nowhere any and all advice is welcome!

The 6023 error looks like a bandwidth problem, what sort of network and Internet connection is the box connected to?

Andi.

I get 72meg infinity (and i do get 72meg)

And the youview box is connected to home hub 5 on a gig ethernet connection - also disconnected every other device inc wireless

Is the set top box fully updated with players etc etc... sometimes an old software install can cause issues.

I can see the channel on the guide and the are showing some kind of preview as a build up

and yeh the on demand and software is both up to date - seems to be a faulty box lol

If channel 528 is delivered via IPTV then you need a multicast enabled router. My Netgear router had a couple of settings that needed to be on for IPTV to work - (from memory) IGMP proxying and WMM (wifi multimedia). Otherwise, I had to use the router supplied by TalkTalk.

Just a thought but how do you pay for this kind of thing on Youview? Surely you would need to setup a payment method or an account somewhere?
