Wasn't sure where to put this so really sorry if it is in the wrong place. I am looking to upgrade my PC anyways, but I am not sure what is breaking on it!

Currently have:

Intel Core i5-3570k CPU
16 GB Ram
Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 Ti
SuperFlower FX 650W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply
Gigabyte G1 Sniper M3 motherboard
On windows 10 64bit

I know my GFX needs updating, but currently having an issue where it feels like my pc isn't turning itself off properly, I shut it down and it doesn't seem to actually shut down, if that makes any sense. When I go to turn it on again it seems to already be working, even turning the psu and trying to remove the electrical current through it and then turning the psu back on seems to have no effect (this might not make sense so I'll try and slow it down xD)

I'll try the PC by turning it on, it doesn't turn on, the keyboard and mouse light up but as if they have already been lit up and not in the usual "WEeeeee we are being used flashy flash" style of lighting up. Then I turn the pc off again using the power switch, then I turn the PSU off, then push the power switch to remove the charge from the PC, then when I turn the PSU on again after a few seconds the computer whirls into life before I have a chance to press the power button again.

What is going on >.<

I have loads of errors in my Event Viewer. Not sure if this will work but here is my possible Event Viewer errors list for coming back from a holiday:

If you can't access that file, please let me know so I can try and upload it somewhere else.

Kind Regards,

Powering on problem is very typical symptom of failing capacitors.
So my bet is on PSU, which is anyway in need of replacing.
It's likely generic cheapo with cheap crap components.
SuperFlower has never been any automatic quality guarantee maker with only couple lines using high quality parts.
They've also "updated" PSUs to cheaper parts like Golden Green HX being downgraded cheap parts Golden Green.

Bad PSU can literally torture and damage components, so unless you're yearning to change whole PC fast wouldn't try using that PSU.

Would consider BitFenix Formula as starting point for good PSU, not designed to start failing in few years.

For fully modular cable PSU Seasonic Focus Plus is at top level in performance and has very competitive pricing to go with 10 year guarantee.

Antec Earthwatts Gold Pro is based to same platform with semi-modular cabling.

Thanks :) I currently have my partners's Superflower hah, I did have a corsair, same wattage. I will add that to the shopping list then!
