Errors on prime 95

What exactly do they mean?
My cpu is running at 30oC atm, but the voltage is at 1.37 even tho i have set it to 1.40 (but i assumed less voltage was needed so the system reduced it).

Ok to the problem;
i ran the in place large TFT Torture Test and it would give the error:
FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt.
Torture Test ran 0 minuites - 1 errors, 0 warnings

According to the stress.txt this is a hardware error, so does this mean i have reached the limit my cpu will go or i have just chosen some funny settings?

Multiplier: Auto
Voltage: 1.40v

Clocked back down to 2.3 the results are 100% pass

Voltage: now 1.425, the board seems to still only read 1.39v

Memory is running at default (Tcl: 3 Trcd: 3 Tras: 7 Trp: 3 2T Timing)

Will see how it goes now
I am 100% sure the memory is fine as i ran a 8 hr memory check on it when i bought the equipement (about 5 weeks ago)


How do i stop the board "under-volting"?

Edit: Still get the error, giving it a little more juice (1.450v), 1.42v on smartguardian now

1.450 is looking promising first test passed ^^


edit: Error after 6 mins :<i guess ill put the volts a bit more

Going good so far, self test 1024k passed, cpu is at 49/50 oC

tnx for help all.

Also do i have to run 2 instances of Prime95 and set affinity to each core or do i run 1 and let the program decide when im testing the rig like this?

The memory is running at 236.5Mhz according to cpu-z
Tnx for the link i was running a single instance of the program before will try with 2 now :)

Ouf CPU 0 fails when i run 2 instances on the Small FFT test,
but when i run CPU0 alone it runs through them fine.

It needs yet more voltage it seems, i read here people were running it at 2.6 at 1.40 v :s ?, i will give it one more boost to 1.5v but dont really feel comfortable going over that as it was peaking at 52oC when i ran Prime95 for a hr or so

CPU 0 failed when running 2 instances again, ran succesfully with only 1 core doing work.

Will play some more tomorow after work :)

Mobo is a DFI Lanparty UT4 NF Ultra-D, bumping the ram voltage a bit

Ok the divider is set to Auto, so i ran cpu-z and it says
FSB:DRAM: CPU/11

I am using the following cooler:
Zalman CNPS9500-LED Aero Flower CPU Cooler,
but currently i only have 2 fans in my case as 2 of them began getting too noisy (old fans so ball bearing are on the way out)

and its cleared it up a bit, but its still fuzzy tbh.
If decreasing the timers increases performance why doesnt everyone just set all the times to 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 then :S, or are the timers dictated by the hardware in which case how do i know how low to take them :s

no i didnt put both in yellow/orange
initially i did do this tried to install windows and got file copy errors, swapped them over to the orange slots to see if it was just a faulty mobo got the same thing. I ran memtest to see if the memory was playing up and it was throwing out errors like candy on haloween after address 1024 (the second chip). So i swapped it to 1 yellow and 1 orange, ran memtest and there were 0 errors on a 4 hr test.
So figured i just had them plugged in wrong, i didnt notice it was running on 2t timings until it was mentioned here, so im long past the returns date

edit: you said to tighten up the timings, what do you recommend i use?
