Errors with copying files from a DVD+RW

So last week I decided to format my comp and backed up all my mp3's onto DVD. The Verbatim DVD+RWs that I was using had been used before and so I just wrote the files over the top using nero 6. Now, when I am trying to copy the files back to my comp after formatting it will get so far then freeze givng me and error about a "cyclic redundancy check". The data is definately all on the DVDs and I can see it fine, its just when I have to copy that I get problems. Is there any way around this, or am I screwed? I would quite like to sort it as I think there is about 7000 tracks I will be missing if I can't copy them back over. Took me about 3 and a half years to build up this collection. Also, I used some different, brand new DVD+Rs for some of the music and they have copied back without any problems.

So, any ideas?

tried that, doesn't appear to be working. it just fails after a couple of minutes

never verified them. hardly ever burn things tbh so duno how to do that, same thing with health check didn't know you could do that. so i am pretty much screwed then?
