Just noticed these are now used as the free delivery. But, I don't think it's next day, my order was dispatched 11am Wednesday, just rang up this morning to check on it (online tracking wasn't working) and according to them they have no record of the parcel and haven't received it from overclockers...

I'm sooo lucky I didn't arrange my Asus pick up for 2moro, cus I wouldn't have my new mobo to put in...

Just gna ring OcUK, but just wondering if any1 else had any experience with these DX Secure? It already feels like a huge step down from DPD :(

I hate DX Secure so much and tbh stopped using free delivery because of this. Had nothing but problems with them in the past. The tracking sucks and reliability is poor. Sadly due to this I have started getting items for other retailers. Granted I never used DX secure with OCUK but have used them in the past with other retailers.

Who has no record? DX? (It's possibly they have the parcel but somehow missed scanning it when putting it on the van - it really shouldn't happen btw.. but it can. I'm not sure if OcUk pallet up their stuff before it goes to the hub or not btw.. but given the size of OcUK i'd imagine they had done, and so each pallet will 'likely' have a consignment sticker/note on it which contains your parcel... so it could be OcUK). Bottom line, just be patient, and double check with OcUK if DX Secure is actually next day or not before you start making any judgements :-)

If it was dispatched they will have a record of it being collected from OcUK, otherwise it's still with Ocuk I reckon. OR... are DX saying that the delivery driver has no record of the parcel.. i.e. it wasn't picked up from the hub, or somehow left on the van/lorry that came from the hub?

Reliability is mainly down to the people that are in the area, some delivery peeps are just utter crap frankly, and shouldn't be doing the job. Other's are excellent and try to represent the company they work for, or contract for.

I actually went out with a 'DX Secure'/UPS chap the other day to help him out possibily in a few weeks when he goes on holiday (Proper secure stuff though for engineers). I also used to work as a supervisor for a haulage firm so have a fair idea what goes on with parcels etc.

DX have no record of receiving the package from ocuk, just got off the phone. It wasn't dispatched yesterday apparently, duno who messed up overclockers or them. Now it won't come till friday!! grrrrr.

This may also be the tipping point for me to go to other retailers

DX are indeed next day but it depends what time of day you placed the order?

Orders after 5/5:30pm(?) will not be shipped until the next day.

Don't get angry bud. These things happen. It 'may' be with DX or OcUK, I would double check with OcUK if I were you, as OcUK should have the consignment number if it was actually sent. Even if it wasn't sent the consignment number should still have been generated I'd imagine (Although of course, I've not seen how they run their systems).

What will 'likely' happen is that they will wait to see it turns up at DX, but I'll stop second guessing what OcUK will say :-) Just give them a phone.

I only use DX secure for the free shipping, If annother provider was offered by OCUK with a cheaper rate for instance since only DX secure is provided for free for N.Ireland I would buy a lot more stuff from OCUK.

Need a new heatsink and going to have to use DX secure to get it

It was order Tuesday just at like 5.40,lol. "Dispatched" according to OcUK 11am Wednesday.

I did phone them, got a consignment number, but looks like it never made it onto the lorry? He said it will still be the same tracking number, so guessing some1 literally forgot to pick it up.

I was hoping to have it today to start working on it, gotta drain all my watercooling loop and refit everything.

I might have to ring up overclockers after every order now, just to check they did actually dispatch it, ain't gonna trust those automated messages anymore.

Couriers used all depend on the item(s) (size/cost). Ordered a monitor and that's coming with DPD Next Day free shipping.

My 4GB ram came with RM and my 8GB came with DX.

I personally have always found DX Secure to be just fine, and they have handled A LOT of documentation from the US Embassy for me, and I've always found there tracking and re-delivery options excellent.

So OcUK have confirmed that it was sent out on Wednesday night then?

I am waiting for a couple hdd's by dx so hopefully they aren't that bad, though in all these cases you always hear the bad and rarely the good.

TBH though it isn't just DX, I ordered a headset and tracking it on dpd it got to them and got to the stage of being transported to the Birmingham hub but it never got there so who knows where it went but I didn't get it. Customer service has an effect on delivery companies but more often than not it is down to the people who do the actual delivering which could be good or bad.

According to OcUK it was dispatched 11AM Wednesday and they gave me my tracking number, when actually it wasn't sent/collected at all. So it will be sent today *FINGERS CROSSED* *TOUCH WOOD*!!!!!

Thought I'd save a new topic and Post here. They attempted to delivery my package today to my home address, but ofc I was not home (I had planned to do what I always do, head down to the depo in the evening and collect, but ofc DX do NOT allow this).

So around 4pm I rearranged to have the package delivered to my place of work about 5 miles from me (yeah, lucky sod :P). Anybody here who can say that I will likley have it delivered tomorrow or will I have to wait until Monday? I was really looking forward to spending the weekend working on rebuilding this comp, a nest of dust bunnys have settled in there and it's gonna be a big deal to clean them out...

Also, compressed air from a foot pump on the fans? Good idea or really stupied?

I've not read all the replies but I've experienced this, and I don't think it's the courier. When I check the status of the order, it says "in our warehouse queue". Once I get the dispatch notification it's next day, so I think its OCuK that are holding up the order, not the courier
