ESET smart security - What am I missing?

Got a bit of an issue with the firewall I've hit a brick wall with. I use Nero MediaHome to stream media to my 360. Never gave me any issues with Kaspersky, but the CPU load was too high to continue using Kaspersky.

After switching to ESET Smart Security the 360 refuses to connect to the media server. ESET point to enabling UPNP in the trusted zone to allow access but this doesn't work. I've also tried creating a rule for the application and the service and allowing access to the port manually but no joy. Last try was setting up static IP addresses to all devices and adding them to the trusted zone but again, no access. The only thing that works is to completely disable the firewall but this has to be done daily.

I have to be missing something but I'm at a complete loss as to what. Any ideas at all?

Here's where it gets strange. The logs show nothing in relation to blocked network access from the 360, but there are multiple entries with "Incorrect IP packet checksum" with no IP address associated.

Does ESET have a concept of Zones like Kaspersky, if it does then try putting your local IP network in as a trusted network.

do you have your firewall to autosense? i.e. it uses its own system to administar the firewall blocking letting through what it wants..

Or do you have it on the mode where you will get a popup asking if you want to allow the application through, etc?

I use that mode which I have forgotten the name and never had a problem?

The entire range of the network is in the trusted zone allowing communication. Once taken out it blocks all network access to files so it's not that.

Normally I have it set as Automatic with custom rules but I've also tried Interactive mode which you're referring to. On both counts I get the initial pop up asking if I want to allow access for the application but it still denies access.
