ESET untrusted certificate problems

I have just reinstalled recently and ever since ESET has occasionally been throwing "untrusted certificate" pop-up windows at me - sometimes on a Google image search, other sites, but mostly here.

I had the exact ESET Internet Security v10.0.386.0 installed before reinstalling and my Firefox profile folder was copied across from the old appdata directory to the current (new) one.

I'm not sure if this is a Firefox issue or something is up with ESET that I've missed. Or maybe it's something else? I'd be grateful for any ideas.

When opening this thread I got the below window:

Well, "rainmakerkennels.co.uk" does have an untrusted certificate, so ESET is doing its job there.

Personally, I'd disable SSL certificate checking in ESET and let the browser take care of warning you of any untrusted certificates.

Just select "remember action for this certificate" and click ALLOW.

I've the same issue at work. company had name X, email server etc all use it but then changed name to company Y. They are still using the cert for X and it throws up errors all the time. Just accept and move on :)
