ESO, geting to the main land?

Where are you and what mainland you talking about? You can usually get to some of the main regions for each faction no problem fine as they have shrines. Other regions are usually connected to the factions main regions you can get too but require transverse game another region.
other places like cold harbour or clockwork city open up as part of the story. Or you can bypass it all by asking someone to teleport you to a region by forming a group with a person who has access to wherever you want to go, and teleport to them when in a group.
