When it worked! Not sure if there's a setting I haven't seen but it was like watching a very old yourube video. horrendously blocky and this was over wifi.

There must be a difference between the iphone and android apps cos i have the iphone version and for a free app its absolutely great.

Downloading...just watched a goal on my galaxy s2, the picture is a bit blocky, i mean you can make out that there is a ball and some players in different kits, but its difficult to distinguish one player from another at any kind of distance (i.e when its not close up of the manger/bench)..

Its definitely a difference between that and the iphone version then. Iphone version is as good as sky go in terms of pic quality. Spot on.

Can the Android tablets not run the phone apps?

they probably reduce the resolution to catch all andriod specs whearas they know that the iphone have a set standard of cpu memory and screen.

thought my typing was worse than normal, relevantknowledge stealing 100% cpu breaking my keyboard ability to poll properly:/ uninstalled.

Indeed, this is the most likely scenario and is the case with many apps.
