Help me OcUK!

My current grinder a Gaggia MM Burr grinder that I had with my espresso machine (Gaggia Classic) is so inconsist it isn't even funny.

One grind will be fine, the next will be like poo.

What grinders do you suggest?

Budget around the £100-£150 mark.

I've read good things about the Rancillio Rocky...

How do you feel about second hand?

I recently picked up a second hand eureka mignon for 100 quid. This will blow the rocky out of the water.

If you want new you could also consider the ibertal mc2 which I have seen get great reviews for an entry level burr grinder.

Ibertal MC2 is the normal suggestion for your question and budget, if you can find a used one or increase your budget the Eureka Mignon is an excellent grinder and worth every penny.

if you pop over to coffeeforums.co.uk you will get some excellent advice from there... just be warned i have spent over £1000 on equipment since joining

Second hand isn't a problem, after all my Gaggia Classic and grinder were 2nd hand.

Thanks, I'll take a look at both.

I'm just so fed up with the inconsistency of the Gaggia MM grinder, its utter crap to be honest. Even after a full dismantle and clean.

Edit: How does the Iberital compare to the Rancillio?
