Hi folks, gonna be getting my first decent laptop this week and I'm gonna need to look at some extras to go with it. What bits and pieces accompany yours?

I'm thinking along the lines of:

Bags/sleeves
Cooling stands
External drives etc.

Any input appreciated.

Thanks

Never bothered with a cooling stand myself. In fact, with my laptop, the air is draw in from the top anyway! So the stand would do nothing!

You should look at:

Need
Good quality mouse. Gaming if thats what you're doing.
Mouse mat - again gaming grade if you're gaming or doing precision work.
Laptop bag. - the belkin impulse slimline looks good for not much money.
External DVD writer if you havent got an optical drive on your laptop.

nice to have
Cooling stand
External Hard drive
4G dongle if you're using it out and about.
Headset

I have a Netbook rather than a Lappy. However, my essentials are:

- Carry bag/case/satchel/thing.
- Micro-mouse (or just a small one, if you have room).
- Ext DVD drive.
- Clip-on USB powered LED light, as my keys aren't illuminated.

Ill have to look into a dedicated bag for it this afternoon.

Laptop has arrived. Im posting off it now. Very nice it is too. Just weird when my main PC has a 27 inch 1440p monitor so its been a while since Ive used anything this small.

Im gonna replace the optical drive with an SSD I think, so external optical might be on list in future actually.

Thanks for ideas :)
