I haven't played Oblivion for a while but am looking to give it another go. I'll be starting from scratch as I've had to re-install Windows due to a nasty virus :( There's probably a bunch of mods since I last looked....and I didn't really know where to start then :p

Mods to improve the graphics aren't what I'm after - I only have a 128MB GF6800, but any that improve the gameplay - last time I used one that made the town guards a little less telepathic. Things like that :)

Thanks.

Ive just started playing Oblivion again after seeing this mod released, looks like it really improves the game, I love the idea of the new wilderness, upon entering the imperial city for the first time again saw a new poster near the door warning of the wilderness and giving some details on the monsters etc.

REally nice touch.

Nice. I shall give the Mod a shot. I had already changed some of the graphic files to help performance. It will be nice to make the miles of wilderness a little more exciting.

OOO 1.3 is mint but I kept getting owned even by imps right outside the sewers at start was really annoying.

Make sure to get the BT mod aswell to make the inventory better and maybe Dark UI to make eveythign look better.

I regret doing everything in Oblivion. I'd like to replay it with a new character and loads of mods installed. But since there would be nothing new for me to do it seems pointless.

OOO 1.3 is the answer, it might not change what things there is to do but sure as hell changes how you have to do things. No more lvl 1 arena champs or anything, you actaully have to lvl to be able to do a lot of the game now, with a new lvling system implemented of course.

Yeah but I would get bored quite quickly without any new content. Yeah sure what's there is different and there is some new stuff, but there's not really that much in the way of quests.

I might install some other mods but I need to know which ones are good. Could someone with the latest PCGamer list the oblivion mods on the disc? I have the mag but I've lost the disc (this is the october issue btw).
