Hi there,

Travelling to florida today, I have completed the esta a while ago and was accepted etc used it before but today when I checked in they asked to have a look at the copy of it? I didn't print it off because they normally just look it up. Will I be alright america side? I know they can get a bit funny. I do have esta though and used it about 2 months ago when I was also in florida?

Edit, Just looked on there website and I should be ok.

Do I need to take a copy of my authorisation to the airport?

The Department of Homeland Security will inform your airline that your ESTA has been approved. However, it is still recommended that you take a copy of your document to the check-in desk.

I always take a copy of all travel documents anyway. No harm in a few extra bits of paper in the event it comes in useful.

I applied for mine the other day and it says this

If necessary, you can update the following information on an approved authorization: address while in the United States, flight information, email address, and phone number. To access your travel authorization, you will be required to provide your application number, passport number, and birth date. If you need to change any other information on the form, you must apply for a new travel authorization.

DHS recommends you print this screen for your records but you will not be required to present a copy of your authorization in order to travel.

Yeah I am good, just some smart BA guy trying to worry me. All checked in just waiting to fly, I just logged on to the esta website and saved a screenshot of the esta so If they do want to see it I can show them on my laptop.

Thanks for the help!
