Estimated 24MB Down Getting...

37.64 down, 1.87 up. I'm 1k from the cab and was resigned to 24 down but hoping for a little more. The installation was touch and go, they could not find my line at the cab, when they did find it the swoosh test produced multiple line faults but I was still able to speedtest at 37GB down. Up seems a little slow.

Anyhow, I'm up and running now. I have the new Sky hub and it produces no heat at all. Same with the openreach modem.

So if you have a low speed estimate, you may get lucky. The new Sky hub is on general issue this month I believe, but if you are ordering with Sky soon it is worth checking that you are getting one.

I guess at that download speed you're talking about sky fibre.

The upload speed should get better, i started at 2mb up but after a week it changed to the 10mb it's meant to be.

Not all about length of line, but overall quality of the line.

Different sites give different results:

Speedtest: 37
Thinkbroadband: 23

My router syncs at 39994\1999

TBB usually gives poor results.
