Apologies if this is not the correct forum, I did look before posting but couldn't see any other that seemed more suitable.

My son has just upgraded his PC and would like to consider selling the removed parts. He asked me what they are worth, and I really have no idea, other looking on eBay but I haven't found that reliable in the past.

He has

Motherboard: MSI Z390-A PRO
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000Mhz, 16GB in total (2 x 8GB)
CPU: Intel i5 9600K
CPU Cooler: Alphenfohn Ben Nevis Advanced

In addition, I may have

Graphics card: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1660Ti 6GB GDDR6
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

I'd appreciate any advice on what price to pitch these at.

Many thanks,

Nigel

Price checks aren't allowed outside of the Members Market subforum :) Access t that is based on 1000 posts including 15 in the past 90 days (rolling total).

The best bet is to look at the existing markets for a guide price of what stuff is actually selling for. Don't look at eBay listing prices - check sold items on eBay, there is a filter option. Also check places like CEX who list prices they offer for parts.

It's also worth considering the price of all parts individually versus selling the entire unit, which might get a lower overall price but less risk and much less work.

Edit: looking again at your post I see it's not a full system. With some active participation in the forums for a week or so you can probably meet the post count requirement to sell on the MM. This is nice because it's a very safe marketplace - no one wants to destroy their access/reputation with a bad transaction or scam. So this can be one way to find a safe way to sell versus eBay where there are know scams to return items, claim false refunds or chargebacks.
